Devlog2: Prototype
This week we present you with a final prototype.
this prototype should give you an impression of what the final game will be like
In this final prototype, scrap will spawn randomly among asteroids.
you are supposed to avoid the asteroids and collect the scrap.
asteroids will break when you shoot them.
larger scrap pieces break into smaller, collectable ones.
both the scrap and asteroids, can be destroyed with your laser, which depletes over time, and can be recharged at the station.
for movement you use WASD keys.
aiming happens automatically. you will aim to the direction you are moving, and you will snap to nearby scrap.
you shoot your laser with your left mouse button.
your right mouse button activates a magnet that will attract all small scrap pieces.
you need to fly by your station to hand in these scrap pieces for score.
Your HUD will display a scrap bar, healthbar and laser charge bar, aswell as a score counter and a timer.
your scrap bar is how much scrap you can carry. if this bar is full, you wont be able to collect more scrap.
your healthbar does nothing for the moment. when you bump into something, you will get damage, but you can't die yet.
when your laser charge bar is empty, you can no longer fire your laser. you'll need to return to base to recharge it.
